Finally Jared just took a day off... so Friday we headed to Sequoia Nat'l park!

Hiking down is scarier than the hike up... at least for Easton, he thought for sure Kyler was going to fall off the side, since he kept running down the steps... glad at least one of my sons is getting some sense scared into him!
Everyone had gathered around a big ugly spider.... well Jace just went right up and picked it up... can't really see it in the picture, everyone was screaming "ewwwww!!!!"
Jared had really bad allergies, so he stayed behind with Jace and our "teenager" Brianne, While I took the boys on little hike around the giant trees meadow...

everyone saying the Junior Ranger pledge... this was a really nice park ranger, that let each of the kids take turns wearing the ranger hat...
he even gave them high-fives!
too bad Jared didn't get to enjoy his day off in the mountains because of yucky allergies... but the kids had fun earning another Junior Ranger badge and playing in the dirt... looking for bugs, and hiking, it was a nice get away for the day!
