4th of July

Our 2nd annual 4th of July in Solvang (a quaint nice danish town between Santa Barbara and Santa Maria) Kaden was throwing up all Weds. night, July 2nd and we were planning on going to the SB zoo the next morning we just waited to see how Kaden was doing, he seemed to be feeling better around noon so we left to solvang that afternoon. Arrived at our hotel. that evening took a nice walk around Solvang looking in all the shop windows (since everything closes early) & took the kids swimming.
Kyler liked staying in the spa, he said it was just his size.

Kaden liked throwing the beach balls in the pool
opps my pix are out of order. these were taken at El Capitan beach on the afternoon of the 4th. just after I took these kyler and Brianne got sick and were throwing up (poor kidos)
Easton and daddy

Brianne and Aisha
Here's all of us at the Solvang Parade. our Family, my sister Karalene's family and my brother Duane's family
Kaden turned on the camera and gave it to me and said cheese...
the kids were really good at waving their hands and flags and saying Happy 4th of July to everyone in the parade, so they got lots of candy thrown their way
the kids in solvang
Easton and Brianne actually getting along with each other at the pool
it was a fun 4th, after a few hours at the beach we went to my sisters families campsite (right by the beach) and had a nice BBQ. then we headed back to Solvang for the fireworks show, but they were canceled because of the strong winds and with the Gap fire already so close and so big and little resources) so we headed home with our sick children. by the time we got home Easton had started throwing up... (with Brianne's Baptism the next day)

Besides all the kids being sick it sounded like a fun 4th. That is a really fun family tradition! I hope all your kids are starting to feel better!

It was lots of fun- not so much in the sickness area... but that just gives us another memory. "REMEMBER THAT 4th OF JULY..."

Nathan-got sick Sunday night through Monday evening. Cross our fingers...we have all been fine!
