AWE... Fall... mountains...Family... good times!

Jared's been wanting to just get away for a weekend... so we planned a trip to go to Yosemite. We just took the kids out of school on Friday and headed out... we stopped at the Fresno temple, the kids always love to visit temples.

It was unbelievable, there standing in front of the temple was good friends of ours from our old ward when we lived in Clovis, the Malcolm's... we haven't seen them since we moved nearly 7 years ago, but have kept in touch through email's and Christmas cards. so it was really fun to see them. I used to be a nanny/housekeeper for them when they had 6 kids (5 boys and 1 girl) they have since had 4 more girls, yes 10 kids, amazing!
Then we drove to Oakhurst to stay in Jared's favorite hotel! took the kids swimming...

Went to round Table pizza (Jared's favorite!) Still no round table where we live, so gotta get it when we can! (although it wasn't the best this time around) Jared giving Jace soda, to try and keep him quiet!

then got some ice cream ... Jace was in heaven! The Next day, we were off to Yosemite, Jace skinned his nose before we left the hotel, and then Kaden and Brianne got car sick and threw-up on the way there.... Kaden ended up wearing his swim trunks... but it still ended up being a great day! it was an absolute gorgeous fall day!!!

Then everyone had a ball learning to skip rocks and having throwing contests

Jace just sat and ate sand and sucked on rocks... (hmm guess what I found in his diaper today... a lot of SAND, at least there were no rocks... YET!)

after a slight (ha ha) detour, Jace and Kaden fell asleep, so I stayed with them and Jared took the other kids up to Yosemite falls

The kids had tons of fun... and could have spent the whole day playing by the water. This was a great time to go to Yosemite, plenty of parking, not very crowded, Thanks for taking us Jared! on the way home we made a stop by Jared's parents

we tried to go to a pumpkin patch/ hayride that Jared went to before we were married... wow it was like trying to get into Disneyland... major long line, we waited for 20 minutes, then left... (they had tons of parking attendents and security you had to go through... ) we'll go to the pumpkin patch here tomorrow.
